Nation Council for Teacher Education has proposed TET guidelines for Secondary and Senior Secondary Level ( IX-X and XI-XII Level) at 47th meeting of the General Body of NCTE held on 28th march 2018.

Teacher Eligibility Test (TET Examination) at Secondary and Senior Secondary Level established the basic eligibility of a candidate to become a teacher at the Secondary or Senior Secondary stage.

The purpose of The Teacher Eligibility Test (TET Examination) at Secondary and Senior Secondary Level as an essential eligibility requirement for a person to be appointed as a teacher is, to established standards teacher quality in the recruitment process.

Teacher Eligibility Test or TET Examination at Secondary and Senior Secondary Level is not a test for recruitment, its Only an eligibility Test.

Candidate aspiring to become Secondary and Senior Secondary teacher (IX-X and XI-XII) as per NCET norms should Fulfil the following qualification.

Secondary Level (IX-X)	Senior Secondary Level (XI-XII)
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with Pedagogy of two school subjects.	Master degree in a school subject and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with Pedagogy of concerned school subject.
